Natural Phenomenon

          An earthquake drill is a practice preparation towards a sudden earthquake. Every quarter, not only schools from different part of our country but also all agencies and companies specially with a high building are conducting this exercise to prepare ourselves from a disaster and to know the proper things to do during a natural phenomenon called earthquake.

          The importance of taking part in this National Simultaneous Earthquake Drill program of the government is to know proper things to do before, during and after an earthquake. It is also to create a comprehensive emergency plan to be executed to prevent maximal loss of lives and injuries and lessen the damage of structures and homes specially our lives. Preparedness is a big help whenever handling a sudden unexpected situation. We must be prepared at all times and possess an emergency plan so we can bear in mind the correct procedures to be followed during the actual occurrence. Proper execution of drills is a big help to prevent panic from everyone who is filled with fear during the earthquake which might lead to accidents and injuries. Inshort, it is to train the people and test the effectiveness of the plan in order to revise and evaluate it.

          Above all, we must stay calm and pray for God's protection.
