A journey

They say education is a treasure that no one will take away from you. It’s like a sword in battle field called life and a shield to poverty. It is the key to success that will open doors of opportunity in the near future. It is a lifetime investment to make your life better. Education is everything in between.

Being a student is like an army, we fight the enemy called pressure, we defend our tower of dreams and embrace our friend quality education. But like an army, we students are human too. We often experience stress and sudden sadness because of our failing grades and going to school is an everyday battle. We are dealing with difficulties especially to us, not fast learners and I know it is normal. It is normal to feel pressure, to experience stress but what I realized is that all the hard work and struggles in learning will be paid off when the time comes that our diploma will be our passport in getting a good job and will be a ticket to our dream life. But because of this pandemic that we are facing right now, it’s even harder to achieve quality education because of the current set up in education where there is no face to face classes and no teachers that will patiently explain and guide us the lessons that we need to learn. It is a struggle for us to self-study and learn in our own. Learning is fun when you have your co students around you and when there are friends to help you when you experienced difficulties in lessons. But despite of the current set up in education, students are struggling so as teachers. They are finding ways to deliver quality education too. They are looking for ways to stay connected to us and reaching us out.

Everyone have to adjust in the current set up and situation, after all we Filipinos are good in finding ways to make things better. We are creative and resourceful and somewhat somehow we can overcome this battle towards quality education despite of this pandemic. I hope we can get the education we truly desire by this kind of way and to continuously fight this battle.
